The last two stops on our trip were reserved for Nice then Paris, France. Nice was one of those cities that almost got taken off the books due to time, but I was determined to see the French Riviera and all the reasons why it had been a source of so much inspiration for authors, poets, and travelers alike. Even though we only ended up staying one night, I’m so glad we did. It truly was breathtaking.
After our short run in Nice, Sam and I took a beautiful train ride along and up the coast to meet up with our good friends, Grady and Gracie, in Paris. I had been to Paris before, but this time around was different. There’s just something about exploring a new city with people that are so dear to you. You see things a bit differently. Spending time with the three of them was certainly a highlight of my trip and something that I will truly never forget.
A few highlights from France include: exploring Nice’s town center and eating the best Italian sandwiches at Tigellabella and the most delicious paella at Chez Mireille, grabbing small bites and heading to the Eiffel Tower for a picnic, cafe au laits, Re-discovering the Louvre, and Laduree (always Laduree).
