Dressing Down

I absolutely love blogging. Most of the time, it’s a lot of fun! You get to style new outfits, take photos in interesting places, and write about topics you’re truly passionate about. Sometimes though, I feel as if there’s a bit of added pressure to dress to impress. You want your audience to be excited about what you’re doing. You want to offer them an elevated experience!

In my day-to-day life though, I like to keep things pretty casual. When I go out, yes! I absolutely want to look good. But I also want to feel confident and comfortable. That’s why my everyday outfit would most likely consist of jeans and a tee shirt, or an easy go-to dress.

That said, I’ve had this white number by Cameo the Label in my closet for quite some time now. I’ve just never known what to wear with it and was always a little afraid of being overdressed! It wasn’t until earlier this week that I decided I didn’t have to dress it up to be something overly impressive. I realized could wear it with my favorite denim and neutral tones, and it would still make me feel good. I guess that’s the funny thing about fashion as a means of self-expression, huh? It doesn’t have to fit into one particular box. Dressed up, dressed down.  It can be whatever you want it to be. And that’s a pretty special thing.
