Q: What does “Thetique” mean?
A: If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you’ll know that it previously operated under the name “l’esthetique.” L’esthetique is the french translation for the word “aesthetics,” which by definition is a set of principles concerned with the nature and appreciation of beauty. While I love the meaning and the symbolism behind my previous blog name, it proved to be a bit difficult for people to pronounce. When working on my relaunch, I knew I wanted to keep the same ideals that l’esthetique was founded upon, but in a simplified, fresh approach. This site is the outcome.
At its core, Thetique is the shortened form of “l’esthetique,” but is also something completely its own. Thetique encompasses the best parts of of my previous blog – the beauty, the passion, the inspiration – while inviting in new experiences, perspectives and light to create something altogether distinct.

A: THE (as in theta) + TIQUE (as in boutique).
